The Nebraska Hard Grass Ranch encompasses 6,900 acres of deeded grassland in northwest Nebraska, just to the north of scenic town of Chadron, Nebraska. The property provides excellent natural forage from the ‘short grass prairie’ grasslands and has good access being bisected by US Hwy 385 which runs from Chadron to Rapid City. Rush Creek winds through the property on a southeasterly course. The ranch is cross fenced with each pasture having two or more water sources being reservoirs, creeks and pipeline drinkers.  The Nebraska Hard Grass Ranch is in Dawes County, NE and just 10 miles northwest of Chadron on Hwy 385. Chadron is the county seat for Dawes County and offers a regional hospital, Chadron State College, and a small jet capable commercial airport along with other major services. Dawes County is an agricultural neighborhood that benefits from the scenic White River and Pine Ridge area. The Pine Ridge area, characterized by a stretch of Pinetree landscape bisecting Sioux and Dawes Counties from Wyoming to South Dakota, is a natural draw for tourists enroute to Yellowstone or the Black Hills as well as equestrians, hunters and wildlife enthusiasts.​
